Is it ok if your uploading paid looks and you use noncommercial clothing only in the thumbnail and not in the actual var package?

Solution
Why would you use a thumbnail that clearly does not reflect the package content?

And by my interpretation, you have a Patreon, so everything you do VaM releated is commercial since you are "advertising your brand", even if the resource is freely available. So, no, you can not use that clothing. At least not without talking to the creator and getting a special exception.

Confirming what MacGruber says, NC is for everything. From actual distribution of the content to using it in staticimages/linear media (pictures or videos) for either promotion or illustration.
